Kid Cudi's recent injury is so serious that he's been forced to cancel the plans for his world tour.

In a heartbreaking message he sent his fans on Wednesday, April 24, the Cleveland rapper provided an update on the injury he sustained at Coachella last weekend. Cudi attempted to hop off the front of the stage during his set and broke the calcaneus bone in his foot. Unfortunately, the damage to his foot was a lot worse than he thought. He had to get surgery in order to treat it, and the lengthy recovery time will last well into the summer.

"We have to cancel the tour so I can focus on getting better to be out there in top shape to rage with you all," he explained. "Theres [sic] just no way I can bounce back in time to give 100%. The injury is much more serious thank I thought."

Kid Cudi announced his "INSANO World Tour" last month with supporting acts Pusha T, Jaden Smith and EARTHGANG. The tour was slated to begin at the end of June in Austin, Texas and last until September. An international leg was also planned for 2025. Fans will be able to get a full refund and new dates will be announced once he makes a full recovery.

"I'm so sorry fam and I love you all so much," he concluded. "Thanks for the endless love and support. Im really disappointed as I'm sure you are too, but I will be back. Thats a promise."
